Northwest Insurance Agency established the Allstate Commercial Earthquake program in 1998. The program was designed to supplement current Allstate earthquake products, by providing coverage for risks that do not meet the Allstate profile. In keeping with Allstate Program philosophy, the earthquake product will allow Allstate agents to write and retain commercial business within their community. The Northwest earthquake program provides coverage for virtually any type of commercial building, including apartment buildings that contain five or more units. Quotes will only be provided once Allstate has given "First Right of Refusal" in writing.

Commercial Earthquake coverage is written on a DIC (Difference in Conditions) form and has an annual renewal. Deductibles range from 5% to 20% depending on the individual carrier and the characteristics of the risks. Premium is calculated based on the location of the building, age of the building, type of construction and the parking configuration.
