Mike Sullivan is the Chairman and CEO of Northwest Insurance Agency, Inc., and has acted in that capacity since the agency’s inception in 1978.

Mike has 38 years of experience within the insurance agency system as a producer, manager and owner. Through personal sales, agency growth, and mergers and acquisitions, Mike has developed Northwest Insurance into one of Northern California’s largest insurance agencies.

Mike worked as a retail insurance broker from 1964 to 1972. He started his own agency in Stockton, CA in 1972, and after 6 years of growth he sold the agency and relocated to Fort Bragg, CA. Mike immediately purchased NorCoast Insurance Agency in Fort Bragg which at that time had total premium volume of $800,000. NorCoast changed its’ name to Northwest Insurance Agency. After several mergers and acquisitions, Northwest Insurance Agency has developed into a full service, multi-location, retail and wholesale insurance operation with over $100,000,000 in written premium.

Mike is a true entrepreneur, who has built one of Northern California’s largest and most profitable agencies. He remains involved in the daily operations of Northwest Insurance Agency. In addition, Mike is active in state and local insurance associations, advisory councils, and the insurance education system.

Mike plans to continue to grow and develop Northwest Insurance Agency into the largest and most successful Insurance operation in Northern California.
