Northwest Insurance Agency established the
Allstate Restaurant Program in 2001. The Program is
designed to provide a market to the Allstate Agent on
a class of business Allstate Insurance has elected not
to provide.
ELIGIBILITY: Specifically designed
for the independently owned and operated Restaurant, Deli, Café or Pizzeria
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION: All Types
AGE: 30 Years old or newer. May consider
older buildings that house upscale restaurants if
they have been completely updated and meet current
code requirements.
PROTECTION CLASS: 1-8
INELIGIBLE RISKS:
- No Fast Food Outlets of any kind
- No Check Cashing on Premises
- No valet parking
- No Pool Tables or Dart Boards
- No firearms (kept for security)
- No docks, wharves or piers
- No delivery service
- No bouncers
- No Happy hours
- No Children's Playgrounds
- No seasonal Establishments
- No Cover Charge
- No Live entertainment or dancing except background musician, piano, harp or violin
- No tableside cooking
- No Gas pumps on premises
- No Security Guards
- No Sporting/Game Activities
- No ABC violations in last 5 years
- No Liquor License revocations in last 5 years
- No New Ventures
GENERAL UNDERWRITING:
- Must be at least 100 feet from waterfront and a slope
of 30 degrees or less
- Must have fire suppressant system over all cooking
areas including deep fat fryers.
- Must have a central alarm system if located in urban
area
- Must have three (3) years ownership at location (Other
ownership or management may be Considered)
- Liquor receipts cannot exceed 25% of gross receipts
unless a result of extensive and expensive wine list
- Premiums will be based on public area including dining
area, rest rooms and hallways
- Banquet facilities will not be included in premium
computation.
